Crown Film has won a superb seven awards at the International Film and Video Festival 2008 in Los Angeles, once again confirming a well-earned reputation for professional and quality film making.

The Crown Film team won two Gold Camera Awards, three Silver Screen Awards and two certificates of Creative Excellence. The coveted Gold Camera Awards were won for Crown Film’s exceptional work on ‘Domestic Violence: You Don’t Have to Live in Fear’, a film that reflects the unpredictable nature of domestic violence.

The programme incorporates the moving, real-live experiences of victims, and the comments of professionals who dedicate themselves to helping those locked in a cycle of violence and fear. The awards were well deserved for a truly effective film that endorsed the department’s skill and sensitivity.

Crown Film received two Silver Screen Awards for ‘JPMorgan – Risk the Eye of the Storm’, a recruitment film based upon the day to day life of working for the bank. The third Silver Screen Award was won for the film ‘Aim Higher’, an educational programme on behalf of the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

The two certificates of Creative Excellence were awarded for films on behalf of JPMorgan. The first, ‘JPMorgan: IB – The Beauty’s in the Detail’’, focuses on the origin and progression of a new deal and the effects that it has on relative departments. Concentrating firmly on the people involved, the film reflects the pulsating energy and drama that is central to big money business. Crown Film then took home another Certificate for Creative Excellence for their outstanding work on ‘JPMorgan: Virtual Traders’, a Podcast - Video Production.

The International Film and Video Festival is one of the world's leading international events, and is devoted exclusively to recognition of outstanding Business, Television, Documentary, Educational, Entertainment, Industrial and Informational productions. 2008 was its 41st year, and it received over 1,100 entries spanning 23 countries.
