Our logistics coordinator, Kathryn Boyd, recently visited the majestic city of Madrid.

Hosted by Madrid Marriott Auditorium, we were invited to experience the city of Madrid and to see the newly re-branded hotel following its refurbishment. Undergoing a massive transformation, the hotel now holds the title of largest Marriott hotel in Europe. The rooms are contemporary with the classic Marriott mattresses, and Suites have a separate bath; shower; living room; work space and guest WC. The Executive Lounge is an open space with an extensive buffet available ,all day and the attentive staff are on hand for the duration of your stay. The Lounge has also been designed to provide a relaxed working space with tables and chairs to one side, and a laid-back lounge area on the other side to enjoy the view and indeed the hotel amenities!

Event space

The hotel is known for its 2,000 plus pax capacity auditorium, plus additional meeting rooms that have remained the same. With pending renovations to some of their smaller meeting rooms and private event entrance, the hotel has invested in replacing and updating all its conference furniture in line with its overall modernisation and the Marriott brand for contemporary business rooms. The hotel can cater for a variety of dinner, from small covers of up to 130 guests in their a la carte restaurant Kalma, to buffets for up to 850 pax. Whilst the auditorium can accommodate 2,200 pax, its flexibility means the space can be split in half to host a number of smaller meetings. In addition, the refurbished breakout rooms on the mezzanine level all boast natural daylight, with their own foyer area for coffee breaks and networking, which are included in the 56 meeting rooms the hotel has to offer.


Located right by the airport, this hotel is easily accessible for international delegations flying into Madrid Barajas airport. The hotel also offers a convenient, free shuttle to and from the airport, arriving approx. every 30 minutes. Madrid Marriott Auditorium is also located a short 10 minute transfer into the city centre, with plenty of space onsite for up to 8 coaches to park in at once, outside the private event entrance, to transport delegates to any activities or dinners within the city centre.

Flexibility and Relaxation

This venue is custom made for conferences ranging from 300pax upwards. The abundance of smaller meeting rooms means there are no restrictions to the number of breakout sessions during each conference. The highly flexible space means plenaries can be easily turned around to accommodate gala dinners, or alternatively transfer delegates into the city for dinner at a local restaurant and afterwards allow them free time to experience Madrid at night, meandering through the city’s boulevards and soaking up its rich heritage and art scene.
