Crown is delighted to announce that it has been successfully appointed to the new Crown Commercial Service framework for Events Planning, Delivery and Related Services.

A competitive pitch process saw Crown win its place on the framework, which is valid for an initial period of two years with potential for a further two one-year extensions. During this period, Crown will have the opportunity to work on a range of events, including public consultations and the launches of new initiatives.

Simon Hambley, Director of Live at Crown, said: “As you would expect with Government, the tender process was highly competitive and rigorously carried out. We are very pleased to have made it onto the framework. We have extensive experience of providing events and communications solutions for the government and we are looking forward to working with them under this new framework.”

The new arrangement replaces the existing events frameworks previously managed by the Central Office of Information. The agreement will be open for customers across Central Government departments, their Arms Length Bodies (ALBs) and the wider public sector to use.

Crown Commercial Service Chief Executive, Sally Collier commented, “I am delighted to confirm the award of the Events agreement. This is a fundamental part of the vision set out in this year's Government Communications Plan to work together across the public sector and spend taxpayers’ money responsibly. It's also great news for a diverse and vibrant supply base with 89% SMEs".

Crown has previously won awards for its work for the government, including in the following categories: IVCA Best UK Seminar and Conference; Best Motivation and Inspiration; and International Film and Video Gold Camera and Silver Screen.
